Refund Policy

Applies to purchases from October 14, 2026. Part of our Terms of Service.

1. No refunds, with three exceptions

Every payment for a PDFxlsx plan is final. We do not return a charge, in whole or in part, except in the three situations in section 3. You can convert a sample file before buying to see the spreadsheet PDFxlsx produces, every plan limit is listed on the pricing page, and you can stop renewals in your account settings at any time.

2. Things we do not refund

  • A conversion whose tables, columns or numbers did not come out the way you wanted, including scanned, rotated, handwritten or low resolution pages.
  • PDFs that were password protected, damaged, image only or simply not tabular.
  • Converting fewer pages than your monthly quota allows, or none at all, during a paid period.
  • No longer needing the tool, finishing the project or tax season you bought it for, or changing your mind.
  • Buying a bigger tier, more seats or an annual term than you later find you need.
  • An API integration on your side that was never finished or stopped working because of your own code.
  • A renewal, including one collected days later after a declined card was retried.
  • Assuming a plan was a one-off purchase. Each plan renews, as stated on the pricing page, at checkout, in the receipt and in your account settings.
  • Forgetting to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelling right after it.
  • The remainder of a period after cancelling. Access continues until it ends and is never pro-rated.
  • A teammate or anyone else with your login using the account.
  • A capability you expected that the pricing page does not describe.

3. When we do refund

We return money only if one of these applies and our records support it, and never more than the charge in question.

  • Charged twice. Our billing collected the same period two times.
  • A card used without permission. You did not authorise the charge, you report it within 14 days, and the account and payment records confirm it. Your word alone does not decide it, and we may ask for proof that you reported the misuse to your card issuer.
  • PDFxlsx completely down. A fault on our side made the whole service unusable for a continuous period, you told us while it was happening, and we did not resolve it. Slow conversions, a single failed file or problems with your own device, browser or network are not included.

An approved refund is paid to the original card, is capped at the amount for the affected period, and is the whole of our liability for that charge. A refund does not create a right to further refunds.

4. How to request one

Email support@pdfxlsx.com from your account address within 14 days of the charge, giving the date, the amount and which case in section 3 applies. Later requests, or requests sent another way, are not reviewed. We handle them in the order received, without a set response time, and a declined request is final.

Filing a chargeback with your bank without contacting us first is a breach of the Terms of Service, and the account is then closed permanently.

5. Starting the service

By subscribing you ask us to make the service available immediately. If a statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period would otherwise apply, you accept that it ends once the service has started at your request.

6. Renewals and cancellation

Plans renew automatically. Cancel in your account settings whenever you like, without contacting us. No further renewals are charged after that, your team keeps converting until the paid period ends, and cancelling is not a refund request.

A new period is due the moment it starts, because access for it starts then. If your card is declined, the invoice stays due and is retried over the next days; those retries are the same invoice, not new charges. Cancelling while it is open stops the renewals that follow, not that invoice, and that renewal is not refunded. To avoid a renewal, cancel before the date shown in your account settings.

7. Records

When you register you accept our Terms of Service, including this policy, and our Privacy Policy. Checkout shows the plan, price, billing period and automatic renewal before payment, and your receipt and account repeat them.

For each subscription we keep the purchase time, the plan and price shown, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent and an account activity log covering sign-ins, uploads, conversions, downloads and API calls, with the technical details recorded for each. Our payment processor keeps its own record of every charge, including the card's country of issue, the origin of the payment and the outcome of bank authentication such as 3D Secure. Claims of unauthorised charges are judged against these records, and we provide them to the card issuer if a chargeback is raised.

8. Earlier purchases

Subscriptions bought before October 14, 2026 remain under the refund terms published when they were bought.
