Smallpdf Team costs less per seat than Pro, which is the opposite of how PDF tools usually price
In this category the business tier is normally a markup. Adobe charges more for an Acrobat seat bought through a team plan than for the same software bought individually. iLovePDF's Business plan costs more than Premium and raises no conversion limit at all. The 50 MB limit everyone quotes for Smallpdf is not the converter limit
Search for Smallpdf's file size cap and you will find 50 MB repeated across dozens of comparison articles and forum answers. It is a real number on Smallpdf's pricing page. It is just attached to a different row. The row reads "AI tool file size limit", it shows 50 MB on all four plans including Business, and it governs Chat with PDF, the AI summarizer, translation and the question generator.
The row that governs conversions is called simply "File size limit" and it does not carry a number at all: free says Limited, and Pro, Team and Business say Unlimited. That is a deliberate choice by Smallpdf and it has a practical consequence. You cannot look up in advance whether your 80 MB scanned annual report will go through on the free plan. You have to try it. Compare that with iLovePDF, which publishes a hard 15 MB cap for every Office conversion including PDF to Excel, so at least you know before you upload.
