Docsumo pricing in 2026 is quote only: the pricing page lists a 14 day free trial with up to 1,000 pages and 10 user licenses, then Business and Enterprise plans that both say "Talk to us". No monthly price is published. The last public list prices, from September 2025, were $149 a month for 1,000 pages on Starter and $499 a month for 5,000 pages on Growth, with 10% off for annual billing. Set-up fees are charged on top of the subscription.
That makes Docsumo the hardest vendor in this category to price from the outside. We rebuilt the numbers from Docsumo's own pricing page and from archived copies of that same page going back to 2024, rather than from directory listings, several of which quote figures that never appeared on the vendor's site in the form they are quoted.

The billing unit is still the page. The FAQ on the same page describes credits by pages, and nothing on the current page gives a rate for one.
Docsumo price history: what it published and when it stopped
Docsumo has changed its public pricing four times in under two years. Each row below is taken from the vendor's own pricing page as archived on that date.

Two things stand out. The per page rate halved between January and September 2025, from about 30 cents to 15 cents at 1,000 pages. Then, two months later, the prices came off the page entirely. If you are budgeting from a review site, check which of these eras it was written in.
How much does Docsumo cost per page?
The last published rates work out to $0.149 a page at 1,000 pages a month and $0.0998 a page at 5,000. That second figure is where the widely repeated "$0.10 per invoice" comes from, and it is worth correcting: the unit was a page, not an invoice. A three page invoice was three pages of credit. A 20 page bank statement was twenty.
That distinction decides the bill for anyone processing long documents. Using the last list rates as a reference, not a quote:

The same 600 invoices move up a whole tier when they run to three pages instead of one, which is the recurring lesson of page-based pricing. We found the same pattern in Parseur pricing, which also bills per PDF page.
Does Docsumo have a free plan?
It has a free trial, not an ongoing free plan. The pricing card offers 14 days with up to 1,000 pages and 10 user licenses. The FAQ lower on the same page still describes the free plan as one user and 100 pages, a leftover from the January 2025 version, so confirm the allowance on sign-up. The ongoing $0 tier with 100 pages a month that existed in early 2025 is gone.
Does Docsumo charge setup fees?
Yes. The pricing FAQ states that set-up fees are charged in addition to the subscription and are based on the complexity of the documents and the support needed from the Docsumo team. No figure is published. On a quoted plan this is the line most worth pinning down in writing, because it is the one that does not appear on a monthly invoice after year one.
The billing terms buried in the pricing FAQ
Several terms on the pricing page matter more than the plan names:
- Unused credits do not roll over on monthly plans. An annual plan gets the whole year's credits up front, usable at any point in the term. For seasonal volume, annual is the only way to avoid paying for a peak you only hit in one quarter.
- Annual discount is up to 10%. The 2025 list prices matched that exactly: $149 became $134, $499 became $449.
- Cancellation needs 30 days' notice to support. "Cancel anytime" is true, but not same day.
- Auto-debit is on for all monthly plans. Payment is prepaid by card, with wire transfer for annual contracts.
- Upgrades go through support by email. There is no self-serve plan switch described.
Is Docsumo worth the price?
For the buyers it is built for, often yes. Docsumo's own case studies are commercial lenders, debt settlement firms and utility bill processors, and its Business and Enterprise plans add what those teams need: classification of mixed files, validation rules, cross-document checks, audit logs, and posting into a system of record. It publishes GDPR, SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance. If you receive ACORD forms and insurance certificates and have to validate them against policy data, that is a platform problem. The job of tracking vendor certificates once they are read is a separate one, and dedicated certificate of insurance tracking software handles expirations and coverage limits that an extraction tool does not.
It is harder to justify when the output you want is simply the table. A finance team that needs statement transactions or invoice line items in Excel is paying, at 2025 list rates, $149 to $499 a month plus a set-up fee for work a converter does per file. What to ask on a Docsumo sales call
Because nothing is published, the quote is where the price is decided. Go in with these:
- What counts as a page for a scanned image, a multi-page TIFF, and an email attachment?
- What is the set-up fee, and is it one-time or tied to each new document type?
- What happens when we exceed the monthly allowance: overage rate, hard stop, or forced upgrade?
- On an annual contract, do unused credits expire at the end of the term?
- Is the 30 day cancellation notice waived at renewal?
- Which features in our quote are on Business and which require Enterprise?
Who should look elsewhere
If your documents are long, your volume swings month to month, and what you need at the end is rows in a spreadsheet, a page meter with no rollover works against you on every axis. Upload one of your longest statements or reports to the converter at the top of this page and compare the rows with the original. If they match, a flat per file plan from $9 a month covers the same job without a set-up fee or a sales call, and the large PDF to Excel route handles files that would cost hundreds of pages of credit elsewhere.
